Czech it out now!

DSC01752.jpg Just after Christmas i had to wrap my stuff and fly to the Czech Republic. Nobody wanted to acompany me so i went alone there to meet some friends from my Londonstay in 2007. I was quite afraid at the beginning ‘cos i didn‘t know if they would really come and pick me up. Ofcause everything was plannend from the beginning but i mean we haven‘t seen for over a year… But lucky me, Tom and Lili were already waiting for me at the airport when i arrived. It was strange in the beginning seeing them after that long again, but after a while it was like in the good old days in London. DSC01784.jpg First place they‘ve showed me was Tom‘s scary hostel, where I was supposed to live the last 3 days in the czech republic. Because for the next 4 days we went with Tom‘s parents to his hometown České Budějovice after Tom and Lili showed me the Prague Castle. On the way to Tom‘s hometown he told me everybody in his family could speak english except his father who speaks a little german. That didn‘t sound bad i thought… but actually the only person who spoke to me was Tom and his Parents just told him what he should tell me… Tom‘s brother spoke english to me but he went to Poland just on the next day, but at least i got his bedroom after that :-P … In the evening we met also Vit and they showed me czech beer, which they were always swarming about when we were in England.

DSC01839.jpg On my second day we went to České Krumlov, where Tom has asked a friend of him living there to show us the town and specially the castle which is there. Our „guide“ was a cool guy and he had many ideas what he could show me… but during the Winterseason most of the places were closed… Ok we had fun but that was pretty annoying :-P … But not as annoying as the ****ing cold weather. Tom told me that it was quite warm before I arrived there… what a crap.

DSC01851.jpg Vit and Tom wanted me to show a restaurant which every tourist of České Budějovice had to eat… Otherwise he wasn‘t really there… The restaurant was a little bit high class but quite cheap compared with switzerland.. A whole meal with drinks costs as much as a meal in a Mc Donalds in Switzerland… Later we visited the Budweiser brewery wasn‘t only that we wanted to we had to ;-) . After our virtual tour in the Budweiser brewery Vit and Tom gave me a present a 1 litre beer glass. I want to thank you two here again for that great present :-D .. Later Vit had to leave us ‘cos he went somewhere else for New Year‘s Eve… In the evening we went to another castle which looked great at night ‘cos of the lighting set.

DSC01878.jpg After a longer discussion with Katherina i could convince her to come visit us in České Budějovice. But i couldn‘t persuade her to come to Prague for New year, neither her boyfriend nor her… She told me she had to learn… So i had no other choice than accept it. But at least she had for along time a voice in her head telling her she should come to Praha :-D (Insider)

DSC01908.jpg On Wednesday we went back to Prague. Where we first stored our baggage in Tom‘s wonderful hostel :-D , which‘s definitly not the newest but at least very cheap! I payed 120 crowns for 3 nights, what‘s about 8 Swiss Francs. I think i was the first foreign person in the hostel, because the lady on the reception was quite confused about my Identity card she couldn‘t read any of the five languages on it… She had to ask Tom which on the card‘s my name :-P In the evening we met Lili on the Muzeum Square, where a new year‘s concert occured. We ate some sushi in a restaurant and when we came back at 11 o‘clock many people already set off some fireworks of which most exploded on the ground instead of the sky. The czech people didn‘t seem to care about ‘cos they also shot some trams and cars.. And they don‘t care if the firework exploeds next to hundreds of people… and lucky us had to cross the street on such a great place… I don‘t know how the other felt.. but i was scared…

They made a bigger and nicer firework on the first of january ‘cos of the EU or something actually i don‘t know…

On Friday i had to stay in bed the whole day lond ‘cos i was ill… All because the weather grrr… But anyway in the evening we went to a discotheke and not just any one we went to one of the biggest in central europe called Karlovy lázně. It looks like a very old and scruffy building from the outside but inside it was cool. There were five floors with a diffrent musicgenre in each floor, so you could just change the floor if you fed up with the sound. It was also cool that they have a chillout zone in every floor.

On Saturday i flew back to switzerland after Lili and Tom had acompanied me to the airport…

Did anything happen?

Sorry to everyone who’s visited my page in the last few weeks… but there was nothing to write about…

So i’ve been in the BMS now for already 4 weeks, more or less… Some exams have been written and others are coming soon :-( … Last time i wrote a lot about my timetable from the school and how easy it looked… But it’s not as nice as it looked like, there’s a lot of homework and otherthings that have to be done. Ok you can decide for yourself, if you do all that stuff or not, the teachers don’t care about it, but in the end you’re the loser if you don’t do it… So here’s a picture of my new class:

Meine Klasse

And Who’s found me? hehe… I think i’ve had luck with the class, cause we’ve got a good atmosphere and i go on well with everyone…

I’ve joined Facebook strange how many people i’ve found there, that i haven’t seen for years.

There’s nothing more to write about, i can’t write more intressting things about my life as it is. I need a holiday, about which i could write some articles here..

My new School

So i’ve got some post i was waiting for, now it’s official, from the 18th of august i’ll go to school again. And the best things are my lessons :-D . On the normally very hard monday i’ve to start at 9:45 o’clock and i’m finished already at 3pm :-) . Ok there are also hard days where i’ve to stay until 5pm :-P . But the first time since a few years i’ve got free on wednesday afternoon :-D . And in the past i always wanted to work, but school can be so nice, and the only thing i’ll miss will be the monthly wage. But i have to be realistic i’ve gotta learn alot, cause i only passed the entry test with a 4.0 :-( . For those who don’t know: In switzerland the best mark is a 6 and the worst a 1 and to pass a test you need at least a 4… So with other words i had alot of luck ;-) , but in the end passed is passed.

But let’s see how it’ll be. hehe

Exactly one year ago from today, i had pack my stuff and go in the plane to London! Following are some pictures of my stay there :-)

Cinema Night

poster-hancock.jpg

My friend and I just wanted to have a cosy saturday night in the cinema. So we decided to go to the pathe Cinema a quite big cinema compareable with ODEON in Wimbledon, in Dietlikon near to zurich city. Cause it was raining during almost the whole weekend, we were not alone with our great idea to visit a cinema. We had either an idea what film we want to what nor could we count that so many people wanted to go to the cinema… it was just to stuffed, so we decided shortly to go to an other cinema on the other end of Zurich. :-P but it was already 8 PM so we were in hurry. When we arrived in the other cinema we didn’t know what movie they play there, this one’s just a small cinema.

So when we arrived there i just wanted to enter the cinema doesn’t matter what movie they play, and we were lucky the cinema was almost sold out but we had very good places, cause someone who has reserved this great places, didn’t come.

The movie we saw was Hancock. The movie didn’t have very good critic, but who cares about critcs, not me.The idea of the movie was good and there were many funny scenes in it. But the Story was just to weak and in the end it was a little bit kitschy. But the movie was quite OK.

Since some weeks or months, i’m in contact with Tom from czech republic, to organize a trip to czech republic. Cause many people in my School in Wimbledon were from czech republic.

Hi Kevin!

Nice to “heard” you again. We (I and Vít) did leaving exams!!! Now we are going to university. Vít must do some tests for it. And there is a problem. Our holidays will finish in September. In October it will be first time in new school and I think that we had not time. Now I think, it can be good, if you are going to Czech Republic at the end of year. Last days in December. We can celebrate New Year :D . What do you think?

Tom

I’ve planned to visit czech republic this summer, but new year in czech republic sounds funny :-D hehe…So who’s intrested to visit czech republic with me, to see Tom, Vit, Kathrina, Lili and all the others again? If you intrested leave a comment here. :-)

Welcome!

That’s my own small blog, where i’ll write about my life in near future

This Blog is bilingual cause i want my friends i met abroad to read this blog :-) .

The blog’s based on Wordpress and the translation’s made with the xLanguage Plugin.

Many Things in my Blog relating to my language stay, i did last year between July and October in London Wimbledon. So i decided to write a small review about my language stay. During my language stay i had the idea to make a blog, but hihi i didn’t do it, what a pity.

On July the 15th 2007 was the big day, after a last brunch with my family, was the moment of truth. Even if i called my hostfamily shortly and everything, it was just like a jump in cold water, cause i didn’t know, how it would be. It was the first time in my life that i would leave switzerland for so long.

In the plane i got a little bit nervous, cause then it was clear there’s no way back. I sat between an russian guy, who wanted to do a language stay like me and a irish english teacher living in lichtenstein. I was talking with the russian guy almost during the whole flight, and if i didn’t know a word i could always ask the teacher :-P . After arriving in London he had to go to the south of England and i stayed in London. But i met there some other people from the school i wanted to go.

Tolik and his Hot chicks

After an hour i arrived in my hostfamily. There were also two other students staying with me there, Tolik a russian guy from Estonia, and Igor a czech guy. We went well together and in the beginning we visited many places in London together. Tolik was already 2 weeks in London, when i arrived, so he knew already how to go where. For me was everthing a little bit confusing in the beginning also the very simple tube system, so it was great for me that Tolik was there :-P .

Olivier, Tom, Cédric, Lili, me, Little Kevin

Most students left the school after a month or less. So i met many people, but there ere also friend, i had to say goodbye and that wasn’t easy… But i tried to get in contact with some english people so i tried to make friends in pubs and the laundry hehe, that was cool, cause many of them were open and showed me some insider places :-)

london_33.jpg

The time went over really fast and after a while many friends from school were away. Except the korean students, cause they stay there most longer than a year and most of them lived in a town called New Malden or should i say little korea? Because there were only koreans living in this town. But was funny i could learn about the korean way of life, i learned about there culture of eating and drinking hehe :-P . In September i made a little road trip to the south of England with 3 koreans and a swiss girl.

I, jihaeng, Kyu and Ronja in the back

So that was a really really short summary of my language stay in England. What a pity that i din’t made a blog in those days. But i think i’ll make another language stay and than for longer, and than i could make a blog :-D .

3 days in Paris

On my 21st Birthday my brother invited me to a short trip to Paris. On Monday morning we had to be at 7 o’clock in Zurich mainstation, cause we travelled by train. It was my first time in a TGV train, the whole travel took us 4,5 hours. The TGV can only drive in special arias fool speed, but how ever it was cool to travel in such a fast train :-) .

my Room 1

At 11 o’clock we arrived in Paris Est station. First we did was looking for our hotel, but it wasn’t very hard to find it, because my brother and his girlfriend were some years before in a hotel, close to the one we were. Was very cool because because I had a double room for me alone and compared with the hotel I had in Amsterdam, this was just luxus :-D . After a while we left the hotel and went shopping. I didn’t find anything, what a pity, but who cares… In the night we ate sushi in a restaurant, was a great sushi restaurant ;-) . After dinner my brother didn’t want to go out anymore, because we had to wake up early on the next day, because we wanted to go to Disneyland.

Disneyland

Disneyland was cool, even if the weather was awful. Cause of the weather we decided to go in the Disney Studios part of the park, cause there’re more stuff inside, so we could keep our self more or less dry. But in the studio Part were also some rollercaster so we didn’t miss anything there. But the highlight was meeting Olivier from France ;-) I know him from my language stay in London, where we stayed in the same school :-) .

I and Olivier

Was so cool to meet him after so long time again, but he had only short time because he had to work on the next day so we couldn’t stay together for long but was nice to see him again. And he and his best friend could give me some tips for some good location to go out… But they also told me that you can have party all the time in Paris except on Monday and Thursday, just my luck. Cause of that My brother, his girlfriend and I went just to some pubs in the night and after a while we went back to the hotel.

la tour Eiffel

On the last day we had to visit the Eiffel tower ;-) . There were so many people, so we didn’t go up to the tower, but was nice to see the Eiffel tower so close, it’s a nice building. The rest of the day we went shopping againg, but without success for me again, so I had to go back to Switzerland without buying anything :-( what a pity.

Trip to Amsterdam

Leaving Zurich 2

My military service’s over a month over, and how could you better celebrate that than if you go abroad for an holiday? And if you go away anyway why not AMSTERDAM? So we did. Already in the ariport we started our “holiday” first so checked in our stuff and went through the passport control. And in the neutral zone we ordered our first beer :-) . And i could learn something :-) i could learn that you can order beer in the plane for free, and even better, they don’t care if you ask for more ;-) what a great start :-D .

Ankunft in Amsterdam

Everything seemed so perfect, maybe that’s why one of my friends luggage didn’t arrived with us… so we lost more or less half an hour before our airline did understand, that his luggage wasn’t there.. So after that we could look for our hotel room.. so we went to the bookers.com stand, we just took the cheapest 5er room he could give us… but hehe who cares? So now we just had to tell the airline where our hotel is and than our weekend in Amsterdam could start, but there was an idiot who forgot his luggage in front of the Arriving hall Exit… And who was this idiot? ofcause it was me :-( . When i realized that i forgot my stuff(it was just one step after the door) i turned and wanted to go back in again… but than the doors closed and a voice told me “please leave this area immidiately”… So i had run throw the half airport to go in again to the arriving hall… But i could get my luggage in the end, not like my friend hihi…

Wotsch es Velo?

After half an hour our train arrived in Amsterdam central. There were more bikes than i’ve seen in my whole life… On the way to the hotel we had to go throw a police control, but they only controlled one of us.. (the one who lost his luggage :-P ). On our way to the hotel we saw many special things, we also saw the first time the good known show windows with the girls in it, but funnier was the sex outlet shop ;-) . The hotel room was ok but not very luxurious, but what can you expect from a five man room? But the toilet was funny, how should i say… hmm the toilet was very flexibel in it’s postion and after flushing the toilet was near breaking… But the hotel was just in the center, was just in the redlight district :-P

Naja 5 Täg Amsterdam machet ein halt scho chli chaputt..

After we stored our stuff in the room, we went in our first coffeshop. Was a really cool coffe shop there was a showcase and you could select Magic mushrooms like Champions in a supermarket :-P . And you had a card for the drinks and on the back was the weed card… But i think the pictures in the gallery tells you more than i ever could.
